Well, so much for that. Instead of an All-Star weekend, the skills competition is on Tuesday night, and the All-Star game is on Wednesday night. Hello, boss, I'd like to miss most of the week so I can go to hockey games in Dallas. Not going to be approved, I'm afraid. Dang it.
From the Dallas Morning News: Dallas will host the NHL All-Star Game Jan. 24, 2007 the first midweek celebration of the game since 1989 in Edmonton the NHL announced Monday at American Airlines Center. The game will be played on Wednesday night instead of the traditional Sunday afternoon and will be televised on OLN instead of the traditional network carrier. **Dallas Stars fan for life!**
