The Stars announced Friday morning that Brenden Morrow will take over as team captain.
Morrow will take the place of Mike Modano, who was named captain in 2003 when Derian Hatcher left the team in free agency. The decision was made by the coaching staff and front office.
Mo was never comfortable in the role of captain, so I'm thinking this is a good move. Mini Mo is always fired up and is very vocal, so he will step up in the room. I don't think Mike ever did.
